Questions about color
Do I need a consultation first?
Yes, for every color service and for every new client. It takes about 45 minutes, and you leave with a plan and a time estimate.
How long will it take?
The menu lists the time for each service. Copper balayage can take most of a day; a gloss is the shortest service on the menu.
Do you color all hair types?
Jodie colors straight, wavy and curly hair. She doesn't do perms, relaxers or extensions, and will point you to someone who does.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Photos of shades you like and a few you don't, and a list of what has been on your hair.
How does a deposit work?
Longer color services take a deposit to hold the time. It goes toward your service, and the booking page shows it before you confirm.
What if I need to cancel or run late?
Please give 48 hours' notice to cancel or move a color visit. If you're running late, call or text and Jodie will do what the time allows.
Do you do a patch test?
Where the color maker's directions ask for one, yes. Jodie will tell you when you book.
Can I bring a child or a friend?
One guest may sit with you. Children are welcome only if they're having a service.
How much will it cost?
It depends on your hair and the time it takes. The booking page shows the studio's prices, and Jodie quotes after your consultation.
How far ahead should I book?
Because it's one chair, a few weeks ahead is common. New clients join the waitlist and are offered a time as one opens.
